Norfolk Triumph US Open Quad Title
Peter Norfolk from Hamsphire confirmed his second US Open Quad singles title in New York with a three set win with number one player David Wagner. Norfolk won by 6-3 3-6 6-3 won his second Grand Slam Title and his 16th wheelchair tennis major.
Norfolk uttered saying he is pleased of getting a chance to maintain the title of 2007. Few days it was difficult to see the seesaw scheduling due to rain he was extremely glad to have closed out. He started losing as he began slowing against his American competitor later on
he improved to win next four games. Norfolk hit at the start of third set defending Wagner. He served to go 5-3 ahead, and then serving out comfortably to force a decider. Players swapped breaks at the beginning of the deciding set before Wagner went 3-2 up. Last year due to overlap of dates with Paralympics they could not attend. Earlier year Norfolk had won the Australian Open and he remained unbeaten in quad singles event at the Grand Slams.
