Emmanuel Adebayor Banned For Three Matches
Football Association has banned Emmanuel Adebayor for three matches for a charge of violent conduct after he stamped Arsenal teammate Robin Van Persie with his boot during the second half of the game. He also charged for improper conduct during his goal celebration in front of the Arsenal supporters.
Adebayor is suspended from City’s match at Old Trafford and will miss home games in the Carling Cup game with Fulham and West Ham in Premier League. He responded that after the match he was attempting to kick the ball later his teammate intentionally injured him. Mark Hughes
city manager is confronting striker emergency as Santa Cruz, Benjani Mwaruwari, Robinho are all injured, and Carlos Tevez is uncertain to play for his old club. There is only an availability of Craig Bellamy a senior striker. Adebayor expressed regret for his action and uttered emotions took over him. Even though Gary Neville of Manchester United was fined £5,000 in 2003 for a similar mistake as, he celebrated in front of Liverpool fans at Old Trafford. FA does have all power to suspend players for any such behavior or misconduct.
