Many sports annalists, critics, and both former and current players think that Roger Federer is the greatest tennis player of all time. Roger has a very easygoing, laid back attitude, but he also has an angry serious attitude that you don’t want to challenge. He has a sense of humor and is fun to be around. Roger is at the age of age 28 and will turn 29 on August 8th. Federer was born nearBasel, Switzerland; so obviously, the country he plays for is Switzerland. His mother is from South Africa, and his dad is from Switzerland, so Roger has citizenship for both countries. Roger started tennis from a very early age, but started as a pro in 1998. He has acquired many nicknames over the years. Some are the god of tennis, Swiss Maestro, Fed Ex (as in Federer Express), or simply Fed. Fed’s family include his ex-tennis playing wife, Mirka Federer, whom he met at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, himself, and his two recently born twin daughters named Myla Rose and Charlene Riva. Federer is sponsored by Nike apparel and Wilson for his rackets. He is also very charitable. In 2003, Roger set up the Roger Federer Foundation to help disabled children. He also auctioned off the very same racket he used to win the U.S. Open to help aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. Fed has been #1 for a record 237 weeks. Roger also has a heated rival in Rafael “Rafa” Nadal. The two have faced each other a record 7 times in grand slams. Nadal has won 4 of 7 and Fed has won 3 of seven of the times. Federer is the all-time leader in grand slam with 16, passing Pete Sampras’ record of 14 in 2009. He has done a career slam, which is participating in all 4 slams in a year. Roger has won 4 times at the Australian Open (2004, 2006, 2007, and 2010), one time at the French Open (2009), 6 times at Wimbledon (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009), and 5 times in U.S. Open (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008). He has won gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics in doubles with Stantilas Warwrinka. He has won 55,411,888 dollars in prize money, highest of all time. Go Federer!

Andy had wrist injury for the US Open in New York. After his unanticipated defeat in fourth round with Marin Cilic at Flushing Meadows his ranking went down to world no 3, that defeat might annoys him a lot as he made up to the US Open final last year. However, this time he is strong minded to concentrate on Davis Cup. He has won eight consecutive Davis Cup single ties. He is aware of playing a main role this weekend against Poland. David Lloyd the coach of Great Britain is extremely pleased to have Murray on board with rest of the team. David added saying team would benefit and will certainly have great experience to watch someone as good as Andy simultaneously train and play and learn from him. Six- man squad includes James Ward, Dan Evans, Ross Hutchins, Josh Goodall and Merseysider Ken Skupsi. Davis Cup is different from any other tournaments crowd will be great with fabulous arena and very intimate.
